About Take Part events on 24 March
On Thursday 24 March the Black Country Take Part Pathfinder welcomed 75 people to the Molinuex Stadium in Wolverhampton. Two events were held to share and celebrate the legacy of Take Part work across the West Midlands over the last two and half years.
Critical Citizenship and Community Influence: A Whole Area Approach
The first event was for interested individuals and organisations to find out about how strategic approaches to community engagement adopted in Wolverhampton, Dudley and Birmingham are equipping organisations to respond in empowering ways to the latest Government policy. We described a whole area model of change - a new approach to community engagement and culture change. Participants also heard about experiences and learning from Take Part activities in Wolverhampton, Dudley and Birmingham.
The Bigger Picture
This second event bought together those attending the above briefing with Take Part programme benficiaries to share and celebrate achievements and contribute to the legacy of this work. Participants worked together to share the memories, stories and achievements of those involved in Take Part, discuss and develop area-wide approaches to critical citizenship and culture change and identify what helps us to have success and the legacy of this work.
